Syrian Oud master performs Arabic traditional music with a solo concert

An incredibly accomplished musician is once again visiting the turquoise tent. Maher Mahmoud has been playing music since he was only six years old, and it flows not only from every note he strikes, but also from his long list of musical achievements.. Diplomas from music academies in both Damascus and Aarhus, interaction with big bands, symphony orchestras, jazz musicians and other equilibrists, masterful skills in both classical and folk music and recognized as both composer and arranger. Now Maher Mahmoud is retiring in his well-known role as a solo artist, inviting the audience to experience Arabic music very closely with both traditional pieces and his own compositions.
